Built from parts of one of Numbani's short-lived OR15 defense robots, Orisa is the city's newest protector, though she still has much to learn.
Orisa serves as the central anchor of her team, and defends her teammates from the frontline with a protective barrier. She can attack from long range, fortify her own defenses, launch graviton charges to slow down and move enemies, and deploy a Supercharger to boost the damage output of multiple allies at once.

Orisa is a robot character and unlike Bastion who plays more of a defensive role, Orisa is a tank class character that can absorb large amounts of damage and has her gameplay designed around protection. Orisa is the sixth tank character in the game, she is also the first tank hero added after the game's release following the offensive-focused Sombra.
Her weapon is a Fusion Driver which can take down an opponent's health with ease as well as lay down some fire.
"And while her barrier isn't quite as durable as someone like Reinhardt's, she's able to perform other duties while it's deployed," reads an article from Blizzard's website.

We are excited to see where Blizzard will develop Orisa into the lore of Overwatch, since she has no backstory into the Omnic crisis unlike the other characters.
